A real Wedding in Kenya.
Africa is just one of those ‘once in a lifetime’ places you have to visit. Although after you have visited once you’ll want to return time and again. What better way to explore Kenya than to do it on your wedding and honeymoon. Kenya is the ideal destination for wedding parties or small and intimate weddings.
From the moment we met Joyce and Yaw we were overjoyed and full of anticipation that soon we would be capturing their wedding in beautiful Kenya. The couple had chosen the spectacular Swahili Beach Resort as their wedding venue!! What a marvelous choice… everything about the venue is so romantic and magical.
This wedding was absolutely beautiful and full of colour, with the guests and best man in chic traditional attire. It was a fusion of three different cultures, Kenyan, Ghanaian and English. These vibrant cultures combined to create an exciting and modern celebration of love. So lovely was the entrance of the bride at the beach, where the ceremony took place beneath a beautiful arch of tropical flowers. Absolutely stunning!
The bride joined the groom at the altar and their eyes met once again. It seemed as though the rest of the universe was there to witness the moment that two became one and shared their first a kiss as man and wife. There was no denying that look full of love. The pastor gave a talk based on a passage of scripture from 1 Corinthians 13, where is written that “Love never fails!! How true indeed that love never fails, and we saw it so clearly in the eyes of this special couple.
At the end of the ceremony the bride and groom danced out to the sound of traditional African music…. it was breathtaking! Everyone here in Africa knows how to dance!
Photos were taken on the beach, as the gorgeous Kenyan sunset softly bathed the palm trees, the waves and the white sand beach. It amazing! Out of this world! Almost as if we were on another planet made especially for these two.
The elegant reception around the baobab pool was also unforgettable. The atmosphere was truly wonderful, filled with laughter, music and love.
