Wedding in San Gimignano.
We are going to tell you about a lovely wedding story that was held under the Tuscan sun. This is the story of Sarah and Dilan. They come from Great Britain and their dream was to tie the knot in Tuscany.
Tuscany is a beautiful region with historical towns, cities of art and beautiful countryside. We talked several times about real weddings in Tuscany. And we discovered a lot of venues. The last time we wrote to you about a destination wedding in Villa Palagina. If you didn’t read it… Take a look on it!!
Sarah and Dilan chose Podere Mezzastrada as their venue. The ideal place to spend relaxing days immersed in the greenery of the Tuscan hillsides between Florence and Siena. It’s very close to San Gimignano too where Sara and Dilan celebrated their wedding.
San Gimignano is famous for its fascinating medieval architecture and towers that rise above all the other buildings. It’s also recognized as UNESCO WORLD heritage since 1990. It was so special the moment when we took some photos with Sarah and Dilan.
We went to the main square of the town. Piazza Duomo was crowded with people and tourists but it was so fascinating. Then Piazza della Cisterna, surrounded by beautifully preserved stone houses and medieval towers.
We don’t like to take the bride and groom away from guests and friends for a long time. So for this reason, with Sarah and Dilan, we didn’t spend so much time to take photos.
In this way, they didn’t feel so hot, because it was a sunny and warm day, and then they enjoyed the dinner with their friends.
Then there was an enjoyable reception dinner. There was so funny the moment when some friends of the bride and groom took their guitars and all their instruments and started to play. I think that all the brides and groom would like to have friends like these.
